Cream Tour Carmarthen & 2007

Right, New Year, new blog page and the first trip for me of 2007 was down the M4 and right down the bottom of the M5 to Carmarthen in South Wales. As you may have guessed by my name I have strong Welsh routes, so I always love going back to Wales to DJ. The Welsh are always bang up for a party and the crowd at The Waterside in Carmarthen didn't let us down. After a long trip down from London, stopping off in Bristol en route for dinner with my younger brother, we arrived in Carmarthen a good two hours before my set. We located the venue first then checked into our hotel, grabbing a quick disco nap before my 11.30pm set time. The Waterside is based exactly where you'd think - right by the river, and was across two rooms. I love playing smaller clubs like this, you're right in the thick of the punters. The night was part of the Cream Tour so I knew it would be busy. We arrived at the club, had a few bevies and set about rocking the place. I span for two hours, starting things on a house vibe and progressing through to some tougher trance later on. The crowd were great, up for it, responsive, and it was good to get back into the clubs after NYE. I handed over to The Waterside resident at 1.30pm, happy and content. We had a quick chin wag with the promoters and headed back to the hotel before heading to London Saturday morning.

2007 is looking like another busy year. I'm concentrating on production at the moment, and really developing the sound I want to go out with. I love house and trance, so I'm dipping into both of these influences in the studio. I'm also working with some great producers, so watch this space. You'll hear all my new tracks first on this website, so keep your eyes out and your ears peeled. I'm also going to be back in Ibiza with Cream this summer which I'm very excited about and I have the small business of Cream's Easter party at Nation in Liverpool coming up. Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold and Pete Tong are all on the bill. I'm in the main room with PVD and Adam Sheridan, get your tickets early for this as it will be a road block. 2007 is also looking good for new music, loads of fresh production around at the moment, plenty to get excited about. I'm also going to doing plenty of my second favourite past time skiing. I've managed to combine some ski trips with DJ gigs, so all good - 10 days in Austria coming up next week. More next week...
