Ibiza - what a summer

I've just got back from my last show for Cream in Ibiza. For the closing party I was in the main room at Amnesia with Paul van Dyk and Eddie Halliwell. Amnesia as always didn't disappoint, the atmosphere was electric. I played a lot of my own music in the second hour of my set, La Galeria, Beat That, The Face, and a new track 'Cuba' which got a great response. The track has a nice big fat bass line and a quirky guitar riff. I have a few tweeks to do, but I'll get a copy posted on MySpace as soon as. Ibiza was really good again this year, quality music, beautiful people, lots of amazing parties, roll on 2009.

The first hour of my set from the Cream closing party last week is available in the mixes section at www.garethwyn.net. Enjoy!

Highlights for me in Ibiza this season have been playing at the Radio 1 party with Justice and Pete Tong, Wonderland at Eden was surprisingly good, after parties at Esvive Hotel and the infamous Experience Bar, seeing my new track 'Beat That' go off like a rocket at Cream and getting a lift with The Klaxons back to Pikes Hotel. Only in Ibiza.

I'm back to Cream next weekend in Liverpool for their 16th Birthday with PVD and Adam Sheridan. I'll be in the main room from 11pm and I can't wait. See you there.

Creamfields and Cream Ibiza rocked!

I've had some amazing gigs over the last few weeks, starting back in Liverpool for Creamfields. This was the 10th Anniversary show and the first time Cream have done a two day festival in the UK. I DJ'd in the main Cream arena 3-5pm on the Saturday, and to say the place was off the hook was an understatement. Amazing atmosphere, by 3.30pm the place was really rocking with punters bouncing into the tent from all angles. Danny Howells took over from me at 5 and I had a few hours to take in the rest of the site until I was back on deck duty, this time in the residents tent. This was a different structure to last year, more open sided. I had a great time in there, and with only an hour to make my mark, I just booted it from the start with big records. F*ck building things up, it's a festival! Sunday was just as good with Kasabian, Deadmau5, Tiesto and CHIC! (who were amazing live). We had a wicked day.

Thursday 28th August (which was last week) I was back out to Ibiza for my summer residency at Cream. I was in the main room at Amnesia, playing for three hours before the Swedish House Mafia. I really enjoyed this, I got to play house music all night long and build the tempo up for Axwell, Ingrosso and Angello to take over. They did at 2am, before Eddie Halliwell was in control from 5am. Another amazing night in Ibiza, I'm actually back out there tonight for Cream tomorrow, in the main room with PVD and Sander van Doorn. I'll report back on that next week.

I managed to record my sets from Creamfields and Cream Ibiza, check back here for details on how to stream them asap.

In the meantime, stay cool!
